When you think of Michigan what places do you think of in a positive way? Mackinac, Frankenmuth, South Haven, maybe the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes? Is Leadership as Simple as a Yes or No?

After years of exposure, knowledge and growth I have come to a personal conclusion that the concept of “leadership” is not as simple as a ‘yes’or ‘no’ question. We all know of the question, “Are you a leader?” or “Would you consider yourself a leader?” but to be completely honest I don’t think I could answer this question by simply saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

Branching Out and Building Connections

At Central Michigan University, there are so many different scholarships, residential colleges, organizations and programs that students have the opportunity to get involved in. However, I will say that the Leadership Institute is particularly my favorite. I may have biased views since I am a Leader Advancement Scholarship recipient but nevertheless, the LI at Central is one of the best in the country and it is the only one of it’s kind that I know of.
